After leaving Bryce we again got on Hwy 89 going south and then turned up a county road that didn’t have as much traffic.  The first thing we saw was for a mile or so volcanic rock piles that obviously foretold of an eruption in the past.  Then after gaining altitude once again over 10,000 feet we came on the Cedar Break National Monument.  It was every bit as picturesque as Bryce, just not as big.  Then started down again and came to a resort town called Brian Head that several large condos and perhaps 5 ski lifts.  Then down steeply once again to a comfortable 4,000 feet and back to Beaver.
