The Cemetery in the New Mexico almost Ghost Town of Mogollon
Then in the afternoon we drove up to the road to an old mining ghost town of Mogollon. The road kept getting narrower and narrower ‘til we had just enough room for the truck with a rock wall on one side and a 1,000 foot drop off on the other. Then we entered this ghost town and the museum was closed so we looked for the cemetery. The sign pointed that a way and the dirt and rock lane going up to the cemetery was questionable. Finally after an agonizing 3 miles an hour run we reached the top and the cemetery. Very interesting, and we took many pictures of the different tombstones. |
